darin3
I personally think it'll be Witherspoon. I'm guessing he'll get the most (if not all) the votes here, too. Chavous should bring some stability to the secondary; Glover, some fire to the beef up front. Fakhir Brown is an underrated defensive back. But 'Spoon brings more than just tackling ability to the Rams' D. He has the "intangibles" necessary to really get a defense going. Could these FA signings represent "turning the corner" for the Ram D?
keggerz
well i think what impacts the def more then anything is the addition by subtraction of Martz as head coach...also if linehan(sp?) has a more balanced attack that in and of itself could be a nice boost for the defense
Los Gigantes
combo answer: the synergy of glover plus witherspoon. The dt to take up blockers frees the new mb to contain more plays. spoon without a dt wouldn't help much.

Sgt. Ryan
With Glover in the middle of that line, Spoon will have a OL in front of him on almost every running play. Reason Dallas let him go, he couldnt hold the line for stuff, and tried to rush the passer inside, often running right past the RB.
