JaysGoingDown
Could be a worthwhile replacement for David Carr as a backup QB to Rex Grossman. Any thoughts?

darth8ball
Everyone jumps at the first sign of numbers like a lion going after a wounded antelope. Look at his numbers so far this season and see what teams he has to face down the road. Now Pittsburgh after they jumped out to a lead with the passing game stayed with the passing attack a little to much for my liking. Maybe trying to pad Big Bens numbers to try to make his season stats look a little more respectable. try to wait and see if he has more games like this in him in the upcoming weeks. Try not to overanalyze a performance like this against the Chiefs, with no T.Green, in Pittsburgh.
bushwacked
The other words were :I didn't watch him: Apparently Big Ben tries to resemble an actualy real QB at times....I just never seen it and missed it again during a "battle" with a pitiful team from KC. darth8ball
kansas city had the 4th ranked overall d and 4th ranked pass d before today. KC may have been the 4th ranked Def going in but that number is inflated. but remember that with LJ this team is built to control the ball and the clock which really helps to control the defensive stats because teams become one dimensional against them. Week one... they played the Bengals very good offense and allowed 23pts. over a 100 on the ground and did hold Palmer to 127 but lost the game. Week two... they played Denver in a 9-6 loss, the Bronco offense that did nothing to Oaktown(who everyone else moves the ball on) so not too impressive there. Week three...Bye Week four... They shut out a bad SF team 41-0 Week five... They played Arizona who gave Leinart his first NFL start and who lost Fitz early in the contest. These are the reasons I have for my opinion of the inflated D ranking of the Chiefs. Besides IMO Herm Edwards is just plain bad as a Head Coach. Now for yesterdays game, No one expected the pound the rock Steelers after they were up by 14 to still go downfield as much as they did. Not saying Big Ben did't look the best he has all year long, but I think Pittsburgh took the opportunity to pad his and the receiver corps numbers against a team whose D looked like a screen door. darth8ball
Yes, He is back... I would rather have him over Eli... Your Steelers play Atl. Oaktown and Denver the next three weeks with the exception of Oaktown you let me know how happy you are with his fantasy numbers after Atl. and Den. games. Didn't say it wasn't a step in the right direction. I just said that I felt that they threw the ball too much for a team up that much. I feel this was for the purpose of Ben taking advantage of a team struggling and this is what made his numbers higher than they deserved to be in this type of game. Seeing you are a Steeler fan I can see how you might get hot in the pants over your QB taking a big step in finally starting to truly overcome some obstacles, he is a winning, smart and talented NFL QB, but as a fantasy numbers guy, sorry but IMO middle of the pack.
