Chavez
As far as DeBerg, he was the man in Montana's rookie year and they split time in 1980. He managed 29 tds and 38 ints while helping the rebuilding 9ers to a 8-24 record. DeBerg was the proverbial guy teams couldn't wait to get rid of - he spent 3 years in SF, two of them keeping things warm until Montana was ready; 3 years in Denver, which ended in '84 when John Elway was ready to start; and four years in Tampa until they decided to go with #1 overall pick Vinny Testaverde. Poor guy must've felt snakebit for a while. Edited August 7, 2005 by Chavez
Jimmy Neutron
Yeah, against a near-pitiful chargers D. Jimmy, you are normally one of the most rational guys on this board, but your mormon homerism is REALLY showing here... 913325[/snapback] C'mon! It's not like I'm arguing that Danny White was better than Montana!
