That's actually a lot better than I would have thought considering how much stronger the AFC appears to be from top to bottom.






In compiling this, I saw only CIN and PIT going 4-0 against the NFC, with BUF going 0-4.


Another factor was that 2 of the last 3 IND games were agasinst NFC teams.

I double-checked what I did with nfl.com with the AFC team schedules and came up with what I had before, so there must be an error on their part on one of those teams.

I was surprised to see that the Skins were 0-4 vs the AFC this year, and 10-2 vs the NFC.







That's because they lost 4 close games (all within 7 pts) to teams in the AFC West. I think the AFC West and NFC East were the toughest and most competitive divisions this year, top-to-bottom. Both divisions had 3 teams with records over .500. Of course, things like this change on a yearly basis, but I think these two divisions will again be strong next year.
