GWPFFL BrianW
My Hawks at #10. A little high if you ask me. Offense should be solid though with the Big Tens leading rusher returning, and of course Drew Tate. Hard to replace Greenway and Hodge, but the Defensive Line will finally be a strength. Sarges Sooners are ranked very high. Really though, this season is a crapshoot if you ask me. I don't remember a season with this many question marks going into it. The last 2 years played out like most people thought with USC-OU, and Texas-USC. 03' you had a bit of a surprise in LSU. The Canes were clear cut favorites in 01 and 02 and nearly ran the table both years. Even in 2000, OU was a surprise, but FSU and Miami were right up there, and there was no surprise there. FSU went wire to wire in 99'. 98' was probably the last year where there were so many question marks. No one jumps out at me this year, and says this team will just roll through everyone. Vote Quimby2
if FSU's o line can stay healthy this year we can do some damage. a big part of our collapse last year was an o line that was decimated with very little depth. Plus, Weatherford looks promising at QB something we haven't had since Weinke and we have a very easy schedule this year(8 home games). Vote Quimby2
Doesn't OU have a couple of questions on o line too? thought i read depth was a concern.

But then they think few teams have the defensive pass rushers to make them pay, especially having to put 8 and 9 in the box to stop Peterson, it just opens up the passing game. Coffeeman
I'm very interested in seeing if the new speedsters USC got for CBs can actually cover some opposing WRs. I got so tired of seeing guys run right by our CBs for the last 2 years. 2 Years ago we had the DL's to pressure the QB quick enough to win anyway. But last year ND, TX and even Fresno State exposed the CBs big time. God, I just can't wait in general for the season to begin!
