bones1979
What a choice to have? Do you believe in the Madden curse(Alex), will LT fall off near the end of the year as usual? You decide for me
Big Country
i take Alexander... but, if PPR, very hard to pass on LT
godtomsatan
LT had a really bad 2nd half of 2005. I'm getting to that point where I'm starting to see flaws in these guys instead of the good stuff.
tonorator
check the mock going on above. i had the #2 pick and went with SA. f the curse. i'll take a pass on LT until i see that rivers can perform. no question that SA will not repeat last year's numbers, but he is a solid choice in a very productive offense. In a keeper league, would it be any different for you?
cdj7k
no, i do not believe in the curse. you shouldnt either. if you get ppr, flip a coin
tonorator
In a keeper league, would it be any different for you? it wouldn't change in a keeper. they are roughly the same age. i like the 3rd pick better because you can just take the last of the big 3 and then be the first coming back in the draft to pick. You can't really win your league with the first pick, but you sure can lose it. What is the difference between the 2 of them you think? What is the difference between the 2 of them you think? biggest difference i guess would be that LT catches the ball more. size-wise they the roughly the same and both are in their late 20's. again, i think it comes back to the offenses. with a healthy brees at QB, i go LT all the way. with a first year starter, i give the edge to SA. both are going to put up strong numbers ... I know what you mean. Usually it is a no-brainer for me but with all the extra factors involved this year,it makes it harder. Seattle does have a cake schedule and SD's is alot tougher. Big Country
Agree with ton... that is why I swung to Alexander, but, with PPR, I lean al iitle towards LT... I just think that he is so involved in the passing game that with a first year starter, he may get that many more dump off looks. Besides, other than Gates, who else can catch there? godtomsatan
What flaws do you see in Alex? He carried the ball 430 times last season between regular season and playoffs. In the last 10 seasons, 13 times has an RB carried the ball 400 or more times in regular and post-season. A couple exceptions in Terrell Davis and Eddie George who exceeded what they did the previous season, and one in Curtis Martin that more or less matched what they did. The dropoff for the rest is extremely dramatic. Curtis Martin did 408 in 2004. (1942/14) 2005: (853/5) Corey Dillon did 410 in 2004. (1738/13) 2005: (914/13) Jamal Lewis did 411 in 2003. (2271/14) 2004: (1122/7) Ahman Green did 403 in 2003. (2250/20) 2004: (1438/8) Eddie George did 430 in 2000. (1962/16) 2001: (1218/5) Edgerrin James did 408 in 2000. (2303/18) 2001: (855/3) Eddie George did 428 in 1999. (1762/13) 2000: (1962/16) Jamal Anderson did 480 in 1998. (2165/16) 1999: (93/0) Terrell Davis did 470 in 1998. (2225/23) 1999: (237/2) Curtis Martin did 418 in 1998. (1652/9) 1999: (1723/5) Jerome Bettis did 423 in 1997. (1775/9) 1998: (1275/3) Terrell Davis did 481 in 1997. (2037/15) 1998: (2225/23) Dorsey Levens did 400 in 1997. (1805/12) 1998: (540/1)

Flip_Side
I'd go with LT, I think they will use him MORE than last year. I know that's kinda hard to do but I think that's what will happen. He will be a huge target for River's in the passing game also.
