tonorator Posted September 9, 2006 Share Posted September 9, 2006 (edited) i say brooks. i think he's good for at least one long one to moss. i don't bank on kitna until i've seen him put up decent numbers in an actual game. i don't think he has anything left and by week 3 we will have a QB controversy in detroit. bowlofjelly Posted September 9, 2006 Share Posted September 9, 2006 Not a big Brooks fan,having said that I would still play him over Kitna.He's likely to complete at least one home run to Moss and I think his total passing yards will be higher.See if Detroit has a pulse first before giving Kitna a start.New QB,on a suspect team,playing a pretty stout defense this week.Only reason you shouldn't play Brooks is if you think he's gonna throw 3 picks and your league penalizes heavy for int's.Check out post for bowlofjelly Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

darth8ball Posted September 9, 2006 Share Posted September 9, 2006 Kitna is a better all around QB, however being new in Det no real running support and going against the NFC Champion Hawks... is not as favorable as the less talented Brooks with a ready to burst open Lamont Jordan, and Dandy Randy; (who taking in to consideration Daunte last yr. before he was injured and the opening game of the year); Moss can make an average at best QB look like a semi-god. I would say Brooks is your man on Sun. but keep the Kitna performances in the forefront because if he shows ANY consistancy in Det. he might become the smaller risk. but as it is now you will have to play the matchups all year long.
