What is sad about that statement is it is actually possible...but hey the 49ers are my team! ...but I'd rather them get a better draft pick than get lucky and get into the playoffs. He was performing at a subpar level pre-injury, though. I recall in the preseason cautioning that SA had hit the magic 30 year old mark AND the magic 2000 touch barrier - both numbers at which all but the most exceptional backs will start to break down after passing.
