Jo
It's on RotoWorld. Says it's a coach's decision.
theeohiostate
Where did you hear this?? Braylon Edwards won't start Sunday on a coaches' decision. He is active for the game. Don't rely on Edwards as any more than a third receiver. Leigh Bodden will be replaced by Ralph Brown at left corner. Chaun Thompson will sub for ILB Andra Davis. DE Alvin McKinley, RB Chris Barclay, OLs Fred Matua and Rob Smith, and S Ben Emanuel are down. Cleveland has just one of its starting defensive linemen active. Derek Anderson will start in place of Charlie Frye (third QB).

tosberg34
Is he still worth starting?
twiley
12:38: We have been unable to unearth anything on WR Braylon Edwards. He's active for the game and we assume is being sat for disciplinary reasons. If they didn't expect to play him, they could have made him inactive, which they did not. You may want to consider benching him. Edited December 24, 2006 by twiley

Bench... too much to risk if you're playing for money this week. I just plugged D. Henderson in. Edited December 24, 2006 by twiley

DMD
He may not start but since Jurevicius is banged up and Northcutt is worthless, it would be ridiculous to not have him play just as much as he would if he had been on the field for the first snap

DMD
From the CLE website: Three starters out; Edwards will not startJeff Walcoff, Staff Writer 12.24.2006 Three starters on defense -- a defensive back, linebacker and lineman -- will miss the team's home finale today vs. Tampa Bay. Braylon Edwards, meanwhile, will not start due to a coach's decision. Corner Leigh Bodden was declared out Friday with an ankle injury. Ralph Brown will start in his place. Andra Davis (concussion) will miss his first game since the 2004 season finale. Chaun Thompson will start in his place. Finally, Alvin McKinley will miss the game with a shoulder injury. Nick Eason will start in his place. That means the only starter from the beginning of the season still on the defensive line is veteran Ted Washington. Orpheus Roye is on injured-reserve with a knee injury. He has been replaced by Simon Fraser. Both of the team's starting middle linebackers -- Davis and D'Qwell Jackson (toe) -- are out of the game, while three of the team's four starting defensive backs from the beginning of the season will miss the game. The Browns are mostly healthy on offense, but Braylon Edwards will not start the game due to a coach's decision. Dennis Northcutt will start in his place. Derek Anderson, as announced earlier this week, will start at quarterback in place of Charlie Frye (wrist). Frye is the third quarterback.
