Seahawks21, I'm still waiting for your response to my question regarding the prima donna comment about Jackson.

Although he doesn't get the coverage of TO or Chad Jackson, he definitely has some of that in him. He is perceived locally as a talker, a me first guy that doesn't practice hard but brings it on game day. I believe he claimed he was too banged up all of training camp and pre-season to play but then of course practiced after pre-season was over. In one 2006 pre-season game at Qwest the camera panned up to his luxury box and caught an improtu moment of Djax, golden chain dangling around his neck, while sipping a Mike's Hard Lemonade.

Now, his teamates seem to like him good enough, but he definitely appears to have some prima donna in him.

Darrell isn't as much of a prima donna as some of the other WR's around the league, but for a team that is basically built exclusively with team-first guys, he stands out. He is the only guy that continually skips the volunary stuff. He cries. I don't see him as being a guy that wouldn't be tolerable, but I obviously don't know the whole story.

Thanks BW. I was wondering if it was along those lines or along the "I don't like my contract so I'll sit" line which Branch pulled with the Pats.

Didn't D-Jax write "I want Reggie Wayne Money" somewhere on his uniform last summer? I vaguely remember reading something to that effect, although I could be wrong.

There is a little of that. When Jackson signed his long-termer with the Hawks, the President at the time made oral agreements that weren't included in the written contract. Or so Jackson contends.

When the current regime came into place, Jackson was told they would not honor anything that was not in writing. Since then, Jackson has had his issues involving injuries and the treatment procedure where he has supposedly butted heads with the team, in addition to refusing to take part in voluntary practices and, more or less, a slow recovery from off-season surgery that took up the entire pre-season in 2006.

Jackson doesn't speak with the media, except on very rare occasions. Given the nature of the more flamboyant WR in the NFL, I'd say that calling Jackson a prima donna is somewhat insulting to a guy who doesn't go whining directly to the writers and broadcasters, nor does he appear to loaf it on the field. He keeps it in the locker room and keeps it behind closed doors where it belongs.

Oh, come on, Mr. Big-Time Journalist. Tell me how off-base I am about the Colts. :D

I am not a journalist, I'm a research specialist. Swerski, whatever I tell you about your Colts, you will disagree with, simply because I wrote it. I'm sorry, I'm done with you.

You really like to question other people but when the tide turns you just say you don't want to argue.

I'm a "research specialist" as well.

Tell me where I'm wrong about the Colts, Mr. Know-It-All. Or are you afraid of being exposed as an idiot blowhard? Oh, wait, that's already happened. My bad. :D

I'm the idiot?? Whatever dude, since you can't come with anything that is actually correct, I'm sure most people will accept name-calling in place of actual common sense.

Given that your strongest argument around here recently has been "because I said so", I'd say that makes you the idiot. :D

Now, are you going to tell me how my Colts analysis is flawed, or do you prefer to continue with your schtick and look like a clown?

:D

Seriously, people like you aren't capable of getting under my skin. Being called an idiot by people like you is probably a compliment to me. People pay good money for my "because I say so" statements. I am compensated very well to "say so". It is why I am who and where I am, and why you are who and where you are. Seriously dude, I will never, ever look like a clown, it isn't possible. Let me know when you are right about something. Until then, get back on your short bus, man. You aren't worth my analysis of the Colts.

You won't be compensated by anybody on this board, as evidenced by the overwhelmingly negative responses to your "because I said so" arguments.

It is why I am who and where I am, and why you are who and where you are.

You're right. Your "research" is laughed at on football message boards. My research is published in peer-reviewed scientific journals. Thanks for clearing that up. :D

Actually, sir, my research is heard or seen by millions every day...in fact, I can guarantee that you heard something in the past week that I formulated with the help of my staff.
