dmarc117
Debka reports that "US financial sources in Bahrain report American investors in Bahrain advised to pack up business operations and leave... The advice came from officers with US Central Command 5th Fleet HQ at Manama, who spoke of security tension, a hint at an approaching war with Iran. Arab sources report the positioning of a Patriot anti-missile battery in Bahrain this week; they say occupancy at emirate hotels has soared past 90% due mostly to the influx of US military personnel..." (Briefing.com note: Keep in mind that Debka has published some attention-grabbing "news" items in the past that never panned out, so this should be taken with a grain of salt. But since the tensions in the Persian Gulf between the West and Iran continue to ratchet higher each day, the stock market seems to get easily spooked by any headlines or rumors that imply it could reach a crisis point.) Savage Beatings
Which nations would be involved in the war? And who would be allies with whom?
Randall
We don't have the troops for a war. We could bomb the hell out of them, but Iran has moved their nuclear facilities all over and the chances of finding them aren't good. The generals have been told pretty clearly a war isn't legal unless authorized. For it to happen Iran would have to attack. Over there in Iran they think Bush wants a war and aren't going to give him what he wants ay least I think not. But then noone thought they'd grab a bunch of British soldiers either so who knows. Iran and Britain do have relations though. Something will probably be worked out. Notice they didn't gbab our sailors. It's doubtful it'll happen. There were rumors generals refused to do plans on a tactical nuke attack earlier so they may know if they do anything illegal they'll be to blame. Dr. Rock
Maybe Britain will start the war, and then we can say we're just helping them. While I am 10000% against starting another war.. I do believe that the Iranians (their government, at least) are actually nutballs bent on world domination.

I mean they'd never expect it, and maybe we could, you know, shake it up a little, think outside the box.
