Avernus
Tony Hunt, RB PHI News: Eagles coach Andy Reid said Thursday that rookie RB Tony Hunt would not only play with the second- and third-stringers, but that he would be the club's short-yardage/goal-line back with the starters, a possible sign that he could take over that role in 2007. "With the ones, that's where you'll see Tony," Reid said of Hunt being in there at the end zone and short yardage downs. Analysis: Hunt was in line for a bump up the RB depth chart with Ryan Moats being lost for the season, but if Hunt can prove to be a reliable short-yardage specialist, he could be a touchdown vulture, much to the dismay of Brian Westbrook's Fantasy owners. Monitor Hunt's progress through the preseason, and look his way with a late-round pick in all seasonal leagues if he is their goal-line guy. He remains a middle-round pick in rookie-only drafts. just confirming what everyone has assumed.... it's good to know who you should back him up with....because Buckhalter just can't stay healthy.. The Irish Doggy
Westbrook's injury history isn't so hot either... Hunt is a good pickup regardless of whether you have Westy or not IMO. At least that's what I'm betting on in OUTRAGED.
Avernus
Westbrooks injury history isn't all that bad, though... the 2005 injury where he left for the rest of the season was more because of the fact that there was no reason for him to play as they were out of the playoff hunt... then you take the rest of his injury history and it's really nothing... he was hurt in 2002 for a few weeks..I think 3 maybe...and remember he didn't really start getting any touches until that Giants game where he took back the punt return for a TD to win the game....so he didn't start that year anything other than a part of the 3-headed monster and a punt returner... then 2003 Trotter (as a Redskin) tackled Westbrook funny and very thoroughly at that.....and he tore his tricep....(I mean he REALLY) planted him.. 2004 he was healthy minus 1 game I think... 2005 he pretty much played every game until he sprained his ankle which turned into a fracture...which turned into a Lis Franc...and even on the radio they said he really wasn't hurt that bad, but they didn't want to put him out there when they can see what they have behind him....plus he did sprain his ankle.... it just wasn't a Lis Franc....so why bring him back after 2 weeks when it's pretty much over at that point anyways?... then you have 2006...I think he missed 1 game but was on the injury report some....but he was productive after spending an offseason with Tiki's trainer... if the swelling in the knee were to persist, then he just won't have to participate in weekly practice as much to keep him fresh..... it's not like he needs to practice... MikesVikes
Regardless of Westbrook being fragile or not, Reid seems to like getting other backs involved at the goalline.

The Irish Doggy
then you have 2006...I think he missed 1 game but was on the injury report some....but he was productive after spending an offseason with Tiki's trainer... Yeah, the end result was OK, but as a Westbrook owner last year, it was hell trying to figure out if he would play or not every week. It seemed like he was questionable every week and skipping practices. Sometimes I started him just for lack of a good alternative, and it worked out OK, but it was crazy. Donutrun Jellies
Except he can run the ball. He's still not as exciting as Michael Vick.
