Randel-El & Drew Cartrer on the waiver wire

Both Randel-El & Drew Carter are available on my league's waiver wire - I had an AWFUL week at the WR spot in week 1 (Lee Evans, Vincent Jackson), and wouldn’t mind some protection there - are either/both worth a roster spot? Assume I don't have to give up anything to get either (we have an IR in this league, and I have Cadillac & Brandon Jacobs!).

 

Scoring system:

1pt per 10yds Receiving

6pts per TD

+3 for 100yd game

 

Let me know your thoughts.

If you aren't giving up anything. I think Carter is worth a flyer. Randal-El, I have a harder time with.

I personally would not want to rely on either of those guys - the #2 WR in CAR is a total tossup and Randle-El is dependent upon a 1st year starter who did not throw a TD pass in 4 quarters.

 

I would go Carter for the upside and hope for the best.

carter had 3 catches for 17 yards. Just so happened that this week they ran his plays near the goalline. That won't be routine. BUT, the 17 yards may well be his norm.
