#1 Niners Fan
Giant fans, do you think yesterday was a one-time thing, or do you think RD is going to get alot of the goal line carries, much like Jacobs did when Tiki was still around...I didnt catch any of the game... I'm not a Giants fan, but, I would suspect that when Jacobs gets back, he will be getting those goal-line carries. However, I think with Ward's emergence as a solid back, there will likely be a RBBC with the Giants once Jacobs comes back. Best case scenario for Jacobs owners is Ward taking away 3rd downs. Worst case scenario is Jacobs going back to the change of pace, short yardage role.

Thinking of picking him up for the upcoming bye weeks...you think those two TD's were just a one time thing?

Thinking of picking him up for the upcoming bye weeks...you think those two TD's were just a one time thing? Depends entirely on field position. Inside the 5, Droughns will likely get the carries. Outside the 5, probably Ward. This is similar to the Tiki situation last year where Jacobs vultured a lot of TDs. BTW, I base this on nothing more than observation this weekend - Giants homers likely will have better info.

I'm pretty sure he wont be anymore than what you saw until Jacobs gets back, then its limbo with Hedgecock/Douglas on the roster, though i would suspect Douglas is a gonner once Jacobs gets back
Vet
When Jacobs is healthy he will not only get the goal-line carries, but 80% of the non-goal-line carries as well.

So that's what... five plays? (4 of 5 before he's out again?) Edited September 24, 2007 by Riffraff
