PackerFanX
Any Carolina homers out here with a take on how Steve Smith production will be affected if Carr starts at QB today?
Easy n Dirty
Not a homer and no special insight, but I don't see how you can bench him. Bucs have a solid D this season it seems, but Smith has always performed well against them.
Grits and Shins
I simply do not bench Steve Smith until Carr proves he can't get the ball to him ... as I recall Andre Johnson did okay with Carr at QB
Delicious_bass
Any Carolina homers out here with a take on how Steve Smith production will be affected if Carr starts at QB today? You better worry about Donald Driver's production, my cheesey friend! The chemistry wont be the same, but I think Carr will certainly be looking for Smith the same as Delhomme would. My guess is a solid but unspectacular game from Smith.
detlef
I've typically found that back up QBs tend to lean on the #1 option even more than the regular starter, so it would seem like a safe start. I would imagine that it comes down to not trying to be too cute and just putting the ball in the hands of the guy with the best chance to make the guy look good. DelmarJintsFan
Carr sucks so bad. Everybody was saying how he was a threat to Delhomme's job. Today should put that to rest.
jgcoach
Carr sucks so bad. Everybody was saying how he was a threat to Delhomme's job. Today should put that to rest. And there it is, all the Carolina fans that were hitting on DelHomme hoping for Carr. There ya go; whoooooop there it is. You got what you want. Easy n Dirty
I see Delhomme was 1-for-1 for 1 yard - why in the world would they put him in the game in garbage time and risk further injury?

I don't think jgcoach was "talking" at you, he just used your post to make his point?
DelmarJintsFan
I don't think jgcoach was "talking" at you, he just used your post to make his point? If that's the case, then I apologize. But it sure doesn't read like that to me. Ironically, I was making the same point - careful what you wish for. I'm sure Chargers fans can relate (Martyball doesn't look so bad now does it?)
