MrTed46
Hi gang, Been looking at some online websites for oil paintings (replicated/museum quality). I was curious to see if anyone has any experience with these. They are hand replicated with oil based paint so I am sure they will look mint. However, most of these sites sell the frames at crazy prices. I was wondering if it is easy to frame a oil painting? If it is then I would purchase the oil painting mounted on the piece of wood and purchase a frame from a different place. I did some online research and it doesnt seem hard but just want to get reassurance before I spend any money. BTW this place is my #1 place for research. twiley
It's no different than any other picture you'd have framed, probably cost the same too.
cre8tiff
Fine Art frames are always expensive. The painter I apprenticed under would pay around $300-500 to frame a $10000 painting.
