bigdadreed
Either I'm doing something really dumb (possible) or something is wrong with this game, I just gave this game to myself to play on my son's new Wii. I am going through the startup tutorial but can't get past the part that requires you to hook the ball. The first step required hitting a drive down the fairway 290...no problem. Step 2 asks you to aim a little right, close the club face & use the controller to draw the ball. We have been trying this for an hour & the ball will not hook. I am pushing the left button while the ball is in the air & shaking the controller as indicated. The blue arrow on the screen is spinning left like crazy but the ball WILL NOT HOOK! What's going on?!?! bigdadreed
So share with us how you did it. For a hook, you have to close the "clubface" by really turning your grip on the controller to the left. I was doing this initially, but you really have to maintain this grip throughout the swing to get it to hook. I was confused by the "ball spin" feature that is a separate control that affects the ball spin one the ball lands (I think). If I ever get my 7 year old son off the Wii, I will investigate further! Thanks for the explanation as that part has me baffled as well. I can't get that f'er to hook. Oh and I'm LMAO as I can't get my 6 yr old son off Wii either.
