westvirginia
I still don't think it is out of the realm of possibility to see Steve Slaton turn into a decent pro. He will probably only be used correctly but some of the more creative offenses out there, but I'm anxious to see what system he goes into. I know I'm a homer, but I really think Slaton would be a great back in a WC system. He's ideal for a one-cut and go with a lot of swings from the backfield. Like others, Choice would be my pick for a surprise. He just gets it done, period. In a decent conference, and he has the size and hands. He really looks like a complete back to me. Bronco Billy
People have no idea how great this kid is. If he goes to a decent system he will easily be roy. He'd better go to a team with great run blocking. He's explosive, no doubt, but he doesn't create a lot for himself and aims himself at the hole rather than waiting for a seam. He'll need a HC who is patient with him, because he gets stopped for a loss or no gain a significant amount of times. But the patience could pay off - if he finds a seam he gets to the second level very quickly and moves well in space once he's there. He doesn't lose much speed when he changes his path laterally. chinatown dragons
Agreed. I think Hart could put up very, very consistent numbers in Shanny's system. He wouldn't be the "threat" persay that you'd see in an Adrain Peterson, but he would be the kind of back that sneaks in 100 yards and a TD every game. 100 yards and a td every game? i'd take 1600 yards and 16 tds, any day, from a Back....!! Im a HUGE Michigan fan and love Mike Hart, but not sure he can stay healthy to put up those numbers.....and at 5'9, 200 lbs, can he handle the pounding?
