People do hunt bears. It is quite expensive to do so though. Why anyone would want to hunt a bear is beyond me. I don't know of anyone who eats bear. They all make them into rugs. Bear hunters, like those that hunt lions tigers, elephants, etc... are the type of "hunters" that disgust the average hunter.

I hate to hear of an animal killing someone, but when one does like this it is hard for me to not think they had it coming.

I hunt black bears and love me some black bear italian sausage. It puts pork to shame. Hopefully, I'll get out in the next weekend or two if it ever quits snowing in the mountains.

+1. I've mentioned this before but down in a "sporting goods" store near here, there's a stuffed Kodiak bear up on his hind legs. F'n thing is over eight feet tall, just a magnificent animal. The photo and blurb next to it says the "hunters" who killed him trekked for 15 days into the wastelands of Canada so they could stand a hundred yards away and kill him at zero risk to themselves. What total f'n wankers.

I stand corrected then. I've never heard of people eating bear meat. Of course we don't have any down here, so what the hell do I know. I love italian sausage by the way, and love to try new things. Wow that sounded ghey.

How tall are you? I wonder if you'd look good stuffed in my study.

I will keep it in mind if I manage to take one with the muzzleloader this spring.
