A good time was had by all last night. I met up with the huddle folk close to 10 pm. DJ, The Wench, Skilly, Caveman Nick and Big John stopped by the Roullette table I was at after they grabbed a bite. It was great seeing everyone again and although it was brief it was nice to say hello to Skilly who I have never met before. Me and the Mrs. played some Roullette and got a chance to spend some quality time with Big John and CN for a few hours which we really enjoyed. Two great huddlers both on the boards and in person that you should meet up with if ever given the chance. It was also great to see DJ and The Wench again. Although we didnt get to spend much time together this go around we did get to know each other at Hughs house a few years ago. They are 2 laid back easy to talk to people whose company I enjoy. Hopefully we can all get together again some time in the near future. I heard rumblings of an Atlantic city trip .

Definately a good time, and it was great to meet all of you. I guess I was like the prototypical Dodgers fan: arrive late and leave early. Wish I could have stayed a bit longer. Whomper, CN, Big John, and DJ & the Wench are all fantastic folks and it just goes to prove what an excellent community we have here at the Huddle!

Those who know Big John will appreciate this: when I finally found CN and BJ in the casino, we located the nearest bar and commenced to drinking. We were making small talk, and CN asked where I was from, originally. Before I could get it out of my mouth, Big John says :D , "Colorado."

 He is every bit as awesome in real life as he is here at the Huddle!

It was a blast. Hope you guys didn't leave too much money at the casino!

It was indeed great to see everyone! Skilly, very nice to meet you. Glad you had the chance to make it. Whomp, DJ, and Wench it was a pleasure as always :D Tell Mrs. Whomper I always enjoy seeing her as well!

John is now at the airport and working on getting through security and all that. I hope you had a nice visit, John! Thanks for making the trek :D

Good time everyone I am sorry it was so short.

My cousin happened to be in the area with her girlfriend this weekend and it was her birthday. I wanted to (felt I needed to) spend some time with them and that kind of put us back.

I was running a game for my daughter and her friends the next day at 11 and we had a 3.5 hour drive home. To squeeze a couple other things in we needed to get back to the hotel by midnight.

It was nice to see everybody.

Big John is great and true to form he gave away a couple huddle alias' of mine before I even got there.

We had met Caveman Nick before but it was nice to see him again. As a former gamer and recovered rennie - there's not much more you could for... except maybe a more honest and upstanding football team.

It was our first time to meet Skilly. I felt bad because at first I thought he was skippy. Once I made that adjustment, things were groovy. Nice guy. Like us he needed to leave earlier to spend some time with the kids the following day.

We caught Whomp just at the end of things. He was at a table. Nice to see him, but too short. I am looking forward to another gathering.

I don't know if the casino was the best place. It was nice - and nice to see it for the first time - but it was too danged noicy and drinks were pretty expensive. The Wench and I arent too fond of people.... or noise. She's also a little sensative to cigarette smoke. And we only try to gamble when the odds are in our favor - which amounts to.... or we kid ourselves that it amounts to - home games with friends. This too might have attributed as well to our earlier departure.

We had our best time chatting over some food - maybe a better forum. I am ready to start talking about the next gathering and would be more than happy to host if we need a place.

A huddle PA renne faire meetup could be fun too!

I arrived at Boston on Friday evening.CN picked me up and went to a bar near the hoel I was staying at. Started well, but they had last call way to early - before midnight. :D I had a long day so back to the hotel until Saturday.

Saturday, we drive over to the resort and arrive at about 12:30.

We walk around to see what was all there then do some gambling while waiting for the other Huddlers to arrive. Finally caught up with Skilly, then DJ/CW came shortly afterwad. At the bar anf a few tther locations discussing themselves and other Huddler activies. Later on, we see Whomper, his wife and a coule relatives of theirs. He was bust at a roulette table or another te time we were there. Good times

Now with this resort, the eateries were a bit off. For a late lunch, I saw a Uno's and went there. They had pizza, but that was the closest thing it was to a real Uno's. It definitely was not a Chicago pizza and the uno's ownership would have a hugh problem if they knew a franchise was passing this off as being an Uno's pizza. For dinner, we went to an Italian restaurant, got a table and drinks, then they never took our orders. Ended going to another place in the resort.

On Sunday, I had a latrer flight, so CN then gave me a tour of Boston to help pass the time. Went through several of the district and saw how nuts things were, even on a Sunday. Saw many of the landmarks, then wanked through the crazy street patterns of North End. This was a definite Italian district, then stopped at a couple places then got a couple authenic Italian lobster claws (called "Bear Claws" in other parts of the country). Were many Italian restaurants in hidden spots along the district. Then off to the ocean shore before heading back to Atlanta.

Good Host, CN. :D
