Azazello1313
pretty sure every single one of them was completely legit, which isn't an easy thing to say in this day and age. great, great player I feel privileged to have been able to watch. Ursa Majoris
The magnitude of this achievement is emphasized by the only other 5 players to have reached 600. Barry Bonds Hank Aaron Babe Ruth Sammy Sosa Willie Mays Two of those are "tainted" but that makes Griffey's achievement even more special - only three "normal" people have done it before him. wildcat2334
Growing up in Seattle, one of my all time favorite athletes. His years as a Mariner were truly special, and he never should have left. and as good as 600 is, he should have even more...... I hope he sticks around for 700+, and DH's for the M's to end his career - that would be cool
KSUChiefsTarheelFan
Imagine if he were able to stay healthy. +1 I especially liked the ovation he got when he returned to play the M's at Safeco.
Caveman_Nick
Kudos to KGJr. Next up (hopefully) Manny Ramirez.
Azazello1313
Next up (hopefully) Manny Ramirez. umm, doubtful. a-rod is 4 year younger and 24 homers ahead of him.
Caveman_Nick
umm, doubtful. a-rod is 4 year younger and 24 homers ahead of him. Okay...so second next up. I was hoping he makes the mark, not hoping he was next.
Ursa Majoris
umm, doubtful. a-rod is 4 year younger and 24 homers ahead of him. If he stays healthy and interested, he can put the HR record out of reach for decades.
Menudo
I've always liked Griffey. He seems to handle himself well, both on the field and off. If it weren't for the injuries, he would be keeping the HR record warm for A-Rod.
Menudo
If he stays healthy and interested, he can put the HR record out of reach for decades. No doubt about it. He is, quite simply, phenomenal.
