RussMan
Joe Dumars comes in. Get's rid of all the overpaid deadweight on the bench, gets us out of cap trouble, makes some good pickups, brings back the RED WHITE & BLUE colors. Oh yea.. beat the Knicks again. 1st place baby! myhousekey
Very nice...I give them a much better chance then I give the Nets in the east...I'm just not sold on New Jersey.
Clubfoothead
Are you guys trying to tell me there is another conference aside from the Western?
up the middle
The Pistons are playing very well, and I love Wallace's game. They have as good a shot as anyone to come out of the East this season. But I agree with Clubfoothead,I can think of 5 maybe 6 teams from the West that are better,so it's a good year to play an Eastern Conference schedule. -Lakers -Kings -Mavs -Spurs -Blazers -Twolves? RussMan
At the start of the year I would have been happy to MAKE the playoffs. Now I will be disappointed if they don't win their first round matchup! WALLACE is da man! 28 rebounds last night!
Egret
I agree Raider. I was prepared for another ho-hum season. The Pistons are also bearable to watch unlike most NBA games.

Hugh B Tool
Dumars has done a fine job. "Stackhouse and his merry band of Castoffs" can play and never give up. Just like their Coach and GM.

Kansas State 2000
NO ONE from the East can beat any of these Western teams: Lakers Spurs Kings Mavericks Trailblazers Timberwolves They will be lucky to beat each other.
RussMan
With nothing to play for. Division championship locked up. 2cd seed locked up. The Pistons decide not to rest their stars or take it easy in their last regular season game. Instead they stomp the BUCKS (who had to win to make the playoffs) into the ground, and when they had them down the stomped them some more. BOYS these Pistons are playing very hard ! RussMan
Ben Wallace named Defensive Player of the Year Sunday, April 21, 2002 ASSOCIATED PRESS AUBURN HILLS, Mich. -- Just about everyone agreed that Ben Wallace had a sensational defensive season. RussMan
The Pistons have way too much for Toronto. Move them to the next round in your brackets. They crushed the Raptors ! They dont have a losing record to ANY TEAM IN THE EAST this season. Unbelievable the turn around from last year!
RussMan
Coach of the year Carlisle. Defensive Player of the year Wallace. 6th man award Willamson. All PISTONS. And make Dumars the GM of the year!

They beat the Nets 2 0ut of 3. They dont have a losing record to ANYONE in the EAST. If they get by Boston (will be a dogfight) next round they will represent. Now can the beat the team from the West.. not likely. But hey what a turnaround story!
