SheikYerbuti
I'm sure it's been covered here before, but a quick search didn't bring anything up: What do you do if a last place team owner isn't setting a competitive lineup? Is it within the commissioner's rights to set a lineup for them in the name of competitive fairness? It sucks for the other owners if a team in the hunt is having a win handed to them by a bum owner. Thoughts?

Thoughts? You and the asst commish need to seize the team and lock the player out of his ability to access the team. Also, he will NOT be invited back the following year. My league had in the rules that the line-up would be set according to Fantasy Sharks rankings (which was directly tied to MFL). You can choose any of the other tools out there to rank a teams player for a week. The only thing that you can't use The Huddle for is this unless the entire league is smart enough to subscribe. All, owners must be able to see why you plugged in the roster you did (with the AC as a check to your actions). One site that is free and might work isFantasy Football Toolbox . It does not compare to the quality of The Huddle, but at least it gives you the transparency you need to be a credible commish in your actions. Frustrating thing about the owner I'm talking about is that his QB's are Hasselbeck and Jason Campbell, so he doesn't have one that'll see the field this week. And he only carries one TE, and it's Witten. Sucks.

If he won't, you may just have to run the team with your co-commish along the lines that McBoog mentioned above, having made the WW moves as required. Fortunately most of my leagues have clauses that allow the commish to take over.
BeeR
That's the catch ie you should have stuff in your rules that cover any situation. If not, he could make a case that he can start who he wants, no matter how stupid.

ts
Not sure if it fits whatever the "political" situation might be in your leage (owner friendships, high league buy-in fee, whatever) but you might consider looking for someone not currently in the league who would be willing to take over managing the team for the remainder of the season, if only to try & be sure that a competitive starting lineup is submitted each week from here on out.
