MrTed46
I know its still early in the week but maybe some homer knows something since they played on THUR night. Does he seem probable for the upcoming game against NE. I would love to plug in MM against them.

MrTed46
(KFFL) Pittsburgh Steelers RB Willie Parker (knee) is questionable for the team's Week 13 game. Not saying much but I figure I'd post it
Menudo
From the Post-Gazette: The status of running back Willie Parker, who appeared to tweak his injured knee against the Bengals, will be updated today when Tomlin holds his weekly televised news conference. I hope he rules him one way or another before Thursday games. If Parker is out I am going to use MM as my flex if not I have to roll with someone who is going to play Thur. Is Tomlin usually good with injury updates or does he mask them like every other coach (which is prob the best thing to do)?
slop
Dunn is still available in my league, so I think I will drop fragile willie and pick up dunn
jackshi17
Does not look good. Steelers' Parker questionable for Sunday Tuesday, November 25, 2008 By Ed Bouchette, Pittsburgh Post-Gazette Halfback Willie Parker has swelling in his knee and coach Mike Tomlin said he is questionable to play Sunday for the Steelers at the New England Patriots. Parker left in the third quarter of their past game against Cincinnati when he pulled up out of bounds following a 15-yard run. Mewelde Moore will start at halfback if Parker cannot return. Cornerback Bryant McFadden could return to play; Tomlin also listed him as questionable. McFadden has not played since his right forearm was broken Oct. 19. Tomlin listed cornerback Deshea Townsend as doubtful with a hamstring injury that has caused him to miss the past two games, and offensive tackle Marvel Smith is "status quo,'' not a good sign since Smith has missed the past six games with a back problem. The coach confirmed that defensive end Brett Keisel will miss Sunday's game with a sprained MCL in his left knee and may miss two more games after that. MrTed46
Assuming FWP sits, how do you think MM will do against the Pats? Anyone care to throw a prediction?
Hat Trick
Assuming FWP sits, how do you think MM will do against the Pats? Anyone care to throw a prediction? Sure, I'll bite. 17 rush for 65 yards and 4-5 catches for 50 yards and 1 TD.

Menudo
no number prediction here, but as a Patriots homer, i'd rather see Parker in there That is a mistake on your part. Parker is a much better between the tackles, every down runner than Mewelde Moore is. Mewelde does provide the threat out of the backfield, but, the Steelers definitely lose some punch in their running game when Willie is out. Expect a bit more of Russell this week, as he has been impressive with limited opportunities.

You havn't been sold on MM this season at all...I have to say he has been running VERY well and has done more than expected as a 3rd string RB. FWP is not healthy so I agree that MM is the better RB right now. Of course, when FWP is healthy he is the #1 RB there. I think Russell is going to get the goaline/short yardage. I'm not sure what you mean by me not being "sold" on Mewelde Moore all season. I own both Moore & Parker in my main league, from a fantasy perspective, Mewelde is the better back in PPR leagues, no doubt about that. He has also had a few games where he was effective running the ball as well. However, from an NFL perspective, he simply isn't as effective of a between the tackles runner as Parker is. That said, Mewelde Moore is a much better between the tackles runner than I expected. He has pretty much been a savior to our running game, with Parker and Mendenhall's injuries. I am sold on the fact that Mewelde Moore can get the job done, and is a better fantasy options when he starts, than Parker is.
Skippy
I agree 100% with Menudo. FWP is the best rb on this team and that is not a question. MM has filled in nicely and has done more than expected but when push comes to shove FWP is the RB that is going to be the best RB for the team. I also own them both and from a fantasy perspective I hope that if Parker is going to be limited then I hope they make it known and rest him. I think they would have an easier time containing FWP between the tackles, than containing MM around the edge, short passes, delayed screens, anything out of the backfield, etc.... i agree, FWP is the better pure RB, when he is healthy. A main reason for my wanting to see FWP on sunday is because he is not 100%....a 100% MM is much more dangerous than an injured FWP, imo....at least the FWP i watched these past few weeks coming and going from the IR.....that I would think you agree, is not a mistake. Avernus
In a PPR MM is money. in a PPR Moore is worth more than Parker... or at least he has been...and when they both play, Moore outproduces him or at least posts comparable numbers...
