Does anyone know why Bush only got 8 touches today (3 rush, 5 catches)? Was he limited, Did he have a set back OR better yet, Is Pierre Thomas officially the featured runner in the offense?

 

Now how do we get Brees to not throw the ball 50 times per game??

Yeah, that's rushing AND receiving. He cannot be the featured back for most NFL Teams. He gets away with it in NO because of Brees is always passing.

Bush was coming back from an injury and hasn't played for a month. You could see the rust on him on a few passing plays where his reaction time was just a bit off. He should have had 2-3 more receptions. Not sure what happened, but I didn't see Bush playing at all in the second. Don't know if it was due to injury or a change in strategy. No, Thomas is not officially the featured runner.

For the record, I don't hate Bush. He is a good receiving back with too much hype surrounding him. He cannot carry a team like say, LT, Jacobs, MB3, etc... He needs other pieces of the puzzle around him.
