muck
Whomever comes out of tables two and three have got to be among favorites ... that's a bunch of chips sitting there. Edited July 15, 2009 by muck
Big Country
Part of me is really rooting for Ivey to take this down. What a year for him if he does... 3 WSOP bracelets... $8.5 mill for this, plus a reported 6-10 mill in sidebet wins from winning the first two bracelets. Also, I hear the cash games at the bellagio have been off the hook. Like insanely good. Live 200-400 PLO with somewhere in the range of 7-8 million on the table. 2k-4K mixed game running regularly. To be fair though, with the way players get reseated as knockouts occur, those chips will be moving from table to table quite a bit... also, pretty sure (thought not 100%) that the do a complete redraw at two tables. TimC
No Phil Ivey? Dummy. Why are you so smart? Edit: And good looking. Edit: Congrats Bring Back Pat! Edited July 15, 2009 by TimC
Big Country
No Phil Ivey? Dummy. I was gonna skip Phil Ivey as well, then I read that it is rumored he has as much as $10 million riding on bracelet bets this year, which if even partially true means he will probably be playing more events than usual. Why are you so smart? Edit: And good looking. Edit: Congrats Bring Back Pat! I feel the same way about myself. Now if only I had booked bets on Ivey. Looks like that old couple will have to make another trip out to LV for the Final Table to watch their son Ivey. muck
Two pretty big name pros at the final table will absolutely bump the ratings. Even though he's behind by quite a bit, you'd have to think that Ivey is much better than a 1:9 chance to win, no?
geeteebee
Even though he's behind by quite a bit, you'd have to think that Ivey is much better than a 1:9 chance to win, no? I don't know about that. He's only got about 5% of the chips in play. So 1:9 might be about right. His skill vs. his chipstack probably balance each other out. Big Country
What will the blinds be at when they start up? And yes, ivey there will be a big ratings boost. And having Happy Shulman there may well get Card Player a boost in subscriptions.
i_am_the_swammi
Moon led with 27 players left....and continues to do so with 9 left. Looks like this cat knows how to play with a big stack.
geeteebee
I think they are around level 34 so it'll be 200k/400k w/ 50k ante.
