Jackass
Ok, so my old one was well, old but it had slowed to a crawl. I don't want that to happen again. In lieu of no longer visiting sites such as milf squirter dot com, what steps do i need to take to keep my computer running smoothly. I've already got anti-virus software installed. Anything else i need?
BeeR
I suggest Spybot to minimize the spyware and similar crap. Windows Vista has this "Defender" program that comes with but from what I gather it's kinda weak. Also I would set your browser security settings as high as you can w/o it preventing or otherwise messing up visitations to your favorite sites. polksalet
Clean the registry and run cleanup on the old one. It will be as fast as the new one.
tazinib1
All the above suggestions are good ones. Minimize your startup programs and you should never have a problem. Try and defrag at least once a month as well.
