Ursa Majoris
I love George Harrison, and he has left us some great epic songs. My favourite Beatle. But the man barely knew the right end of a guitar. There is no way in hell to argue that he is an 'underrated' guitarist. And I say this with sincere admiration for the man. +1. The Beatles whole was far greater than the sum of the parts. Azazello1313
it's not like I have a lot (any) of his albums....but prince is a f'n badass. great instrumentalist, great songwriter, consummate showman. I dig that weird little bassturd.

All of the Beatles were average or below as pure musicians. Sorry, them the facts............
Redfish
another fantastic guitar player is john mayer. check any of his live performances if you can or the blues stuff he did with the john mayer trio. good stuff. Ditto to this as well. Most of his music is better suited for my 17 yo daughter than for me, but the guy can shred.

I'm willing to give Paul a pass - sure, he wasn't the most technically proficient guy, but I think he played like ten instruments.

If I grudgingly consent to any of the Beatles being musicians, I think this is the most valid reason. Nice call.

Still difficult to get him to fish with me. No patience. Of course, he is overboard with the video games, but I think they all are these days.
