I had read the same article yesterday and didn't feel the need to post anything about it. Say I build a warehouse for Campbell's but only charge them 1/2 of what it is worth, and get free Campbell's Soup, free V8, and free Pepperidge Farm products, free Prego Sauce and free Pace Picante (Yuck!) for life. Are you going to applaud my generosity if I don't report the value of the food I'm given? Again, I'm not slamming the lady, and don't think a big deal should be made of it, but the fact of the matter is she probably received income that she didn't report.
