Duchess Jack Posted June 3, 2010 Share Posted June 3, 2010 I think it is just a matter of expectations and experiences. I'm a big fan of DS9 and the Stargate franchises. These shows are sci-fi classics and for good reason. This is where my bar is set. LOST was like Big Lebowski meets NOVA.While that is good for some people (oddly enough) it didn't do it for me. Polk... I was a big DS9 fan. I bought all of B5 a year or two back, but couldn't get past the first few episodes. I actually wonder if I'd be able to do it with BSG either, because storytelling is so much better now than it was 20 years ago. What season does the show start getting good? I figure I will start watching from there and one I am invested in the characters, I figured that I'd just go backwards and catch the episodes we missed. Not sure how much more time I want to invest in this if too many loose ends are left hanging when it's all said and done. Watched the last episode of season 2 last night. It's all becoming clearer.
