Waning coverage of the war dead

So you and I agree that it is a correct that the media did it only to get at Bush. Thanks for your validation - that's exactly what I was looking for.

Boy guy, you're really stretching. It's April 2010 and you make it sound like this all occured starting Jan 22, 2009. And I was responding to your "outraged" comment. The fact you know that and twist up my answer shows just how weak your point really is.

He's confusing Iraq and Afghanistan again.

I don't think so. Go back and re-read your post. You clearly said "Right". My point is not weak at all.

No, just a few vindictive people like yourself. You know who you are. You resort to insults when people don't agree with you. Perch, myself and others have pretty much been civil to you and you're ilk and all you guys do is respond with petty, personal insults because we don't share your love of Socialism.

Is it hard being a victim?

Funny how you didn't have a short attention span for 5 years (2001 to 2008) when Bush was in office. Now suddenly it's due to lost interest. It only makes the point stronger that it was all to make Bush look bad. Funny how you liberals aren't outraged anymore now that your guy is in office.

9 yrs since 9/11 and the invasion of Afghanistan. That's a long time.

Yeah, but here's the rub: Why now? You mean people weren't tired of it during the 7 years Bush was in office? Why in 2009 did suddenly the media stop covering the war dead? IMO it's just too coincidental to shrug it off as losing interest or becoming desensitized to it.

Perhaps it is a little unfair, but the election, health care and the economy have been dominating the news recently. Bush and his administration created the Iraq war. Their mismanagment of it cost America many precious lives. They used the war and terrorism as an excuse for dang near everything that they did. This kept the war on the front pages and in the front of people's minds. I believe focusing on the soldiers we have lost is more important now than it ever has been - if only because we need to understand the costs of what we are doing - but the lack of news at this point seems more an issue of human nature to me, than it does some media conspiracy. How much was the media talking about our fallen soldiers in the final year of the Bush presidency? To me it seemed to focus mostly on Obama, Palin, Jeremiah Wright, the financial crisis, Acorn, etc.

Where's the falling on deaf ears emoticon? Maybe this will work.

Well, then, I guess we DO have something in common. And again, another liberal attack on the messenger instead of the message. When you have to resort to personal insults, you lose.

Toss, I have repeatedly asked for actual commentary from you besides "Have to agree here! People dont like Bush!" You continue to prove tiresome in your one-note blind devotion to the altar of GWB.

Seriously man . . do you actually read articles that people post? Or just puppet whatever talking point your heard from the right wing pundit flava of the day spouted forth?

I cant be attacking a message, because you dont provide any. I cant be ignoring a legit political point, because you dont post any.
