Have no effect on his value . . . if you believe that Maroney really just cannibalizes Buckhalter's touches. b. Have a positive effect . . If you Moreno is battling through a hammy injury and having a talented (but limited) complement like Maroney could help him heal up and potentially keep him fresher throughout the season. If I were a Moreno owner, this move would not terrify me. In fact, if you can find a jumpy Moreno owner whose rattled by this news, it could even be a good time to buy low.
