wolfer
find a new league. You only veto obvious collusion or when a noob has no idea what he is doing (i.e. reggie wayne for janikowski). Let me know why commish veto'd. I'm bored on holidays over here...in the meantime play out your season and get out.
Balzac
they veto trades because they don't want other teams getting better - plain and simple. translation - they're dicks.
BearBroncos
they veto trades because they don't want other teams getting better - plain and simple. translation - they're dicks. LOL, ayep. And then when they do a trade that you scratch you head at, they spend an entire week trying to justify their said trade while telling you how unjust your trade was. A simular event was with me where I traded DJax for J. Charles. The reason the commish was up in arms was that DJax was on the last year of his contract while Charles had no contract assigned, allowing me to assign a new contract on his this year. His trade that that was just a few weeks prior was he traded CJ Spiller for SJax.... Hmm, think whos trade is wrong and whos is right? delusions of grandeur
but is this trade fair??? Or is it lopsided?? You need to get out of this league next year, unless you get rid of vetoes. The horrible precedent has obviuosly already been set for vetoing trades that people don't like... Not only is "you don't even use Big Ben" the worst excuse to veto a trade I've ever heard, it's actually the exact reason why you should trade, if you're leaving points on the bench at QB that could help you more in your starting lineup elosewhere... That's the epitome of a perfect-trade situation, so it's clear that they're basing their vetoes purely on sour-grapes that they don't have an extra QB to trade. No, there was absolutely nothing wrong with the trade. You gave him his choice of some players, and he chose Holmes... But if the other owners are only basing their vetoes on self-interest, then good luck convincing them that it is "fair" (which is a subjective term anyway that means different things to different people. Only the owners involved can decide if they think it's "fair", and thus is why vetoes are BS) Edited November 16, 2010 by delusions of granduer
Duchess Jack
you should tell the commish that he should also over-ride owner's lineups and transactions if he/she does not like the results of them. Seems no different than what is happening here.

Double Agent
What are all your thoughts on teams trading with teams mathematically eliminated from the playoffs? We don't allow it.
SatchDork
What are all your thoughts on teams trading with teams mathematically eliminated from the playoffs? We don't allow it. I don't understand teams still allowing trades so late in the season that someone MIGHT be mathematically eliminated. The NFL shuts down what few in-season trades occur 1/3 of the way into the season. I don't see why fantasy football should have them all season long. You're asking for more trouble than it's worth. jdub!
My commish set trade availability all the way to Nov. 19th... not a big fan, but... I think if vetoes are allowed in your league, then it's the owner's and ONLY the owner's decision whether to veto or not. Who cares if he's vetoing because he's a douchebag? He has that right. Besides, vetoes RARELY go through in my leagues... it's never made a difference.
