Ursa Majoris
It would be really difficult to make this stuff up. The corporate nutsack hangers around here must despair sometimes.

SEC=UGA
Hey, the fewest dead and injured people in the history of a company is reason to celebrate. If you think otherwise you just have an axe to grind with these guys.
WaterMan
I welcome more companies to flaunt this kind of behavior in front of Americans. Maybe it will wake up more of them to our plutocracy.

Furd
Its kinda like the solar system giving an award to the earth in January of 2012 for the fewest number of tsunamis in a year.

SEC=UGA
In their defense, they didn't report this to the media at large, I'm sure that some media member picked it up out of one of their corporate-wide announcements and ran with the story... They weren't out there saying, "Hey, CNN, look at us, report this for us, please..."
Ursa Majoris
What a bunch of Ginsuing dicks. Indeed. The things that most alarm me about this are: 1. The fact that this really is their best safety year. If that's so, they have just won a tallest midget contest. 2. They don't give two chits about the publicity associated with this as it is obvious it would be publicized. They know it doesn't matter two hoots what any of us thinks. 3. They immediately used it as an excuse to further inflate their own executive pay and bonuses. So much for any level of humility.
MojoMan
TEPCO may be able to claim the same thing if their workers die of radiation poisoning in 2012 and not 2011.
