piratesownninjas
Are the concussion issues with Steve Hutchison going to lead to him retiring, or is he trying to keep on playing? One of the better guards I've seen in the past decade.
Savage Beatings
Dang, I was thinking at least one more year with Hutch as a strong Veteran presense on the line would be good as they try to patch things up. How the hell are the Vikes going to fill all of their holes?
tazinib1
How the hell are the Vikes going to fill all of their holes? That's like asking a 2 bit porno star to plug up all the glory holes. Edited March 10, 2012 by tazinib1
Outshined
Yeah - Hutch has slowed the last year or two. I thought he also has some back problems. It was also about money too. Hutch was due to make 7 mil in the last year of his contract. I am guessing they draft Kalil for sure now unless some team gives us a Redskin trade for the #3. This was from the strib: Equally significant, the Vikings’ ability to free themselves from Hutchinson’s, Herrera’s and Griffin's salaries put the team in position to potentially make a big splash in free agency, where they expect to be somewhere in the ballpark of $23-24 million under the salary cap when the new league year begins Tuesday. Strib: http://www.startribune.com/sports/vikings/blogs/142200225.html Despite losing two tough and tenacious offensive linemen, the Vikings figure to have plenty of reinforcement at the guard position. Spielman and head coach Leslie Frazier are both high on the abilities of Joe Berger and Brandon Fusco. Charlie Johnson, who played left tackle in 2011, will also likely move inside to guard if the team opts to draft Southern Cal’s Matt Kalil with the No. 3 pick in next month’s draft. gbpfan1231
Can this thread be moved? It is currently in the NFL thread which is obviously a stretch.
