Why would he suddendly stop what made him so successful to begin with? Im going to need to trade for a better qb if he keeps this up. Bronco Billy Posted September 30, 2013 Share Posted September 30, 2013 I'd guess he's being coached up to do just that. No HCs like to see their starting QBs exposed unnecessarily to injury. But pocket passing is not Kaepernick's strength. His forte is spread the field, one read, and then run. He's being asked to be something he's not. Doesn't mean he can't learn. Reminds me a lot of McNair. But there were guys like Ware who could not adjust. It's going to have to play out, or SF is going to have to change its O back and be willing to increase the risk.
