All I am allowed to do, if no deadlines are passed, is to activate a bye week player if one is on the team, to avoid the team taking a zero for an illegal line-up. I'm not allowed, and don't want to, insert a player that has a chance to score points. Not my place.

We all agree in my leagues that nobody wants a win a game against a zero.

As a commish I realized early on these situations need to be addressed in your by-laws before the season begins. If not then I wouldn't step in. You're the commish, not their mother.

Short answer - no.

Long answer - really, no.

If owners are that lazy to not switch out bye week players and the rest of the league doesn't like it, don't invite them back next year. Unless your league rules specifically state that you have the authority to replace bye week players on another teams rosters, this is not your concern. Go after them on your league message board and rip them a new one if you want, but don't modify their lineups.

What this guy said.

And if you are even thinking about it, you need to remove yourself as commish.
