satelliteoflovegm
All I am allowed to do, if no deadlines are passed, is to activate a bye week player if one is on the team, to avoid the team taking a zero for an illegal line-up. I'm not allowed, and don't want to, insert a player that has a chance to score points. Not my place. We all agree in my leagues that nobody wants a win a game against a zero. KUBJPO01
My league enforces a $5 penalty for bye week starts, as well as any player who is listed as OUT.
MothAudio
As a commish I realized early on these situations need to be addressed in your by-laws before the season begins. If not then I wouldn't step in. You're the commish, not their mother.

euphy
Short answer - no. Long answer - really, no. If owners are that lazy to not switch out bye week players and the rest of the league doesn't like it, don't invite them back next year. Unless your league rules specifically state that you have the authority to replace bye week players on another teams rosters, this is not your concern. Go after them on your league message board and rip them a new one if you want, but don't modify their lineups. What this guy said. And if you are even thinking about it, you need to remove yourself as commish.
flemingd
What this guy said. And if you are even thinking about it, you need to remove yourself as commish. Slow your roll dude. OP said it was his leaguemates clammoring for him to act, not him taking this upon himself.
dope man
If it is in the bylaws that the commish can adjust if someone is starting people on bye weeks that is fine with me, however if the bylaws do not touch on this subject it should be HANDS OFF! Let the chips fall where they may!
