irish
So someone please tell me, how is it that you can flip the middle finger at the opposing bench, be seen by everyone doing so and get fined less than a guy who scores and dunks the football over the goal post? Footballjoe
Flipping the finger is usually done without a lot of thought. I believe Graham said he intended to dunk the football and a message was being sent.

There shouldn't even be a rule against dunking on the goal posts. You can't say that for not flipping the bird to your opponent and everyone else who got to see it. I have 3 kids, if they saw both things happen, regardless of the rules, do you weigh them evenly, or in this case what Graham did as more offensive than what Johnny Jerk Finger did? flemingd
Graham did it twice. A second incident by Johnny Bench would take his aggregate over 30k.
