It's just that every individual has to decide for himself what big money is. I wouldn't split for this amount of money, but for $1,000,000... where do I sign! If you're in a league with Bill Gates and Warren Buffet they'd probably laugh at an offer to split a measly $1,000,000 pot. For crying out loud, there are no bragging rights if you negotiated some settlement prior to the contest. If you lose, you're not entitled to a 50/50 split.
