What did Benson do?

Looks like we won't know who the #1 back is until he's picked. Most stuff has had Benson and Williams fighting it out for the top RB slot, depending on what a team was looking for - power (Benson) or shiftiness (Williams).

Benson didn't run at the combine. He's doing a private work-out at UT in March.

Interesting that this article quotes a different 40 time than Len Pasquarelli's on ESPN (a 4.48 is "blazing"?). The ESPN article (which deals mostly with Clarett) quotes times of 4.32 and 4.40.

Regardless of what the others run, I still think he'll be the best back in the draft.

"Lord Humungus, the Ayatollah of Rock and Rolla!"

Though I've been telling people that it's Howard Dean at a recent Dem fundraiser. :D

The NFL Channel has the combine on all week. Ronnie Brown looked very impressive and he has the size to be an every down back. J.J. Arrington (CAL) was also impressive but he's likely to be considered too small for every down work and will likely be picked up for 3rd down duty.

Clarett is not impressing anyone with his speed and after his 40 time (4.8 I think) several people agreed he would end up "second day" in the draft. It is sort of amusing with him - when he was playing everyone loved his "tangibles" but did not like his intangibles. Now it is the other way around.
