jhusted
I was watching NFL Network and they said something about Adam Vinatieri might go to the PACK. Anyone out there hearing anything else about this? If it happens I think it would be a great pick up for the Packers.

TheGrunt
NE's time is up... I say he goes where they market and opportunity takes him. Although, this isn't saying the Packers are much better of an option.

If he signs w/ another team for more money, when its all said and done, I think he'll make less due to missed endorsement and corporate opportunities that will not be available to him post-retirement. alexgaddis
No offense to Packer fans, but why the hell do they need a great kicker...it's not like they will be in close games that come down to the wire for a playoff spot...
charty
From what I've read, the Patriots have offered him a deal that would make him the highest paid kicker, probably around $2.5M per year for 3-4 yrs. Seeing that some other kickers have already signed and Vinatieri is still out there lends me to believe that he is having trouble getting a better offer, and at some point he will end up signing back with NE. mggoilers
Don't the kids from the Dakotas root for the Packers? I think it's like their team. Maybe this is like Adam's childhood dream. Edited March 15, 2006 by mggoilers

Bill Swerski
If he signs w/ anyone other than NE, he's a moran. A complete and total moran. 1370183[/snapback] Why? The Pats are an aging team (especially on defense) and, while they may still be competitive, their dynasty is over. Why not try to help another team win a ring, especially if they can offer more money? Paging Jerry Angelo: You're in desperate need of a competent kicker who excels in adverse conditions, your offense is worthless inside the 20, you have cap room, and Vinatieri is a free agent.
