Raider.Nation
Anyone else notice that the NFC is DOMINATING the huddle's master list for "our" favorite teams... Especially the NFC North. The worst division in the NFL for the last decade or so (just taking a stab at that one, no stats or anything to back it up). Cheers to you Homers for showing pride and staying true even when your team is at it's worst! This is why I love the NFL!!!

When your team has been bad for a few years running, or has just taken a big Loss on the field, that is the most important time to stand up proudly and wear your silver and bla... errr... I mean, favorite team's colors...

Ah, but one of the best divisions historically - the Bears and Packers are arguably the top two franchises in league history, and at worst in the top 5; the Vikes don't even have the decency to ever be truly rotten for any length of time and had some dominant years in the 70s and despite being the "junior" member have their share of NFL icons - Fran, the Purple People Eaters, Bud Grant, Randy Moss, Cris Carter, Doleman and Millard, etc. Even the sad-sack Lions have been around since darn near the formation of the league and have had their share of legends - Bobby Layne, Chuck Schmidt, Sanders, Billy Sims, Wayne Fontes and the Silver Stretch.... Only the NFC East can even start to rival the North for cache.
piratesownninjas
I can sit through the bad years, as for over ten years, the packers and the great Favre made us contenders year in and year out. Although he might not be around much longer, we've got a young defense with a ton of potential, a young line, and a 1st round quarterback waiting in the wings. Chavez
Argueably the only comment dumber than including Wayne Fontes among the greats! That's probably the most accurate comment in the post. At the very least, far from "dumbest non-spain comment" in the thread. spain dumbness gets its own category - like comparing the major leagues to rookie ball.
