Randall
Any word on DJ Hackett?
Bronco Billy
Yeah. He got screwed out of a SB ring, just like the rest of the team.
Bonehand
From Tacoma News Tribune: Official injury report for Wed. Posted by Darrin Beene @ 04:29:49 pm "LIMITED PARTICIPATION WR D.J. Hackett (ankle) was dressed but did not take part in team drills, working in the less dangerous individual drills." and from the Wed press conference notes: Mike Holmgren Wednesday press conference Posted by Frank Hughes @ 01:05:22 pm "Mike Holmgren said he has not yet made a decision about who will start at split end, but he did say he wanted to give Courtney Taylor more of an opportunity because of his explosiveness. He said he will line up Nate Burleson, DJ Hackett and Taylor there this week in practice and see who has the best week before making a decision." Not sure if I'm reading too much into that, but it almost sounds like Nate might be fighting for playing time again. Taylor started the season on the practice squad didn't he? Hackett and Branch need to get healthy soon.
Hat Trick
There you go responding.......I thought you were going to refrain from that in any form related to this topic?
Bill Swerski
I had read somewhere (Fanball, I think) that there was speculation that he would be held out until after the bye. Of course, that was about a week or two ago, so who knows.
Seahawks21
I haven't heard an update since Monday, but Holmgren expected Hackett to play this week. If he plays, I'm gonna start him. I don't know that he is a "must-start", but I don't think the Hawks are going to waste much time using their deep threat. As for Burleson, it does not at all surprise me that he will have to fight for playing time. Obomanu looked decent, Taylor has good measurables, and Burleson can't hold onto the freakin' rock. Burleson isn't a long-term answer, but maybe Obomanu or Taylor will be.

I said I wouldn't talk about it anymore. I didn't................Bronco Billy made a joke and I laughed at it. Move along, nothing to see here. Randall
D.J. Hackett (ankle) took part in practice again Friday, but the Seahawks haven't determined whether he'll play against St. Louis. While Hackett should be owned in fantasy leagues, he's too risky to plug into lineups this week. Expect him to see plenty of action after a Week 8 bye. Source: Seattle Times I doubt that he plays at all, with their bye coming up next weekend. They can beat the Lambs with Engram and Burleson. bushwacked
They can beat the Lambs with Engram and Burleson. One would think. Word of warning to Burleson owners; although Nate has been a decent #3/4 FF WR the last few weeks, if Hackett gets and stays healthy I see Burleson returning to a special teams returner with occasional catch here and there as a WR. Nate's inability to run routes (i.e. inexplicable stop in the middle of the route) has frustrated coaches and team mates. Holmgren is talking about getting Courtney Taylor some PT this week. theprofessor
I see a hell of a lot more Steeler fans still commenting on the Super Bowl from 2 years ago than the Seahawk fans? It speaks for itself ............
