Chief
With the recent defense additions, general consensus still taking a cb #1 ? I'm wondering if they don't take Mendenhal if he's there after Duckett left. Possible best OL I guess, but with KJ hurt, I think it'd be worth a shot if he's there. DocNiner52
I thought they were automatically obligated by the NFL to take a WR withtheir 1st round pick.
BeeR
I'd guess odds are yes but this draft is deep (maybe deepest) at CB, so maybe they wait - also depends what's left. They picked up a CB in FA too, but don't think it was anyone more than avg if that. Seems to me CB or OL are probably the most logical
Sturphy
They picked up a CB in FA too, but don't think it was anyone more than avg if that. They got Leigh Bodden via trade with Cleveland, just signed Brian Kelly, signed Dwight Smith (probably to play FS), and another guy named Pearson that used to play DB in Tampa. So, they've added a lot of guys to the Secondary. I'll bet they go a different direction in the 1st.
Furd
They ain't drafting a CB with their first pick. If Mendenhall isn't there at 15, I bet that they go OL. Edited March 9, 2008 by Furd
Chief
Alexander maybe? Might be worth a shot/risk with the Lions going to mnore of a power run game.
BeeR
You're kidding I hope. They'd be better off w/Ron Dayne.

Three of those guys played for Tampa.

It's the Marinelli Tampa defense connection. Marinelli is gathering guys that played in his system.

Yeah, and in most cases as backups...but they'll be starters in Detroit. I guess if they know the system they don't need to be talented, right?
