Chiefs signed WR Devard Darling to a three-year contract.

Darling was a reserve in his four years with the Ravens, but could compete with Jeff Webb for significant playing time this season. He caught 18 passes for 326 yards and three touchdowns last season, almost all of it coming after Demetrius Williams' mid-season injury. He made some plays downfield, but has been highly unproductive in his career. The Chiefs should continue to bolster their receiving corps in the draft. Mar. 11 - 3:23 pm et

+1

We want Marty Back! Not to mention, Christian Okoye, Will Shields, Tony Richardson, Steve DeBerg, John Alt, Dale Carter (pre-gun charges), Neil Smith, and of course Derrick Thomas :D.

I'm just glad we still have

What no Buck Buchanan or Willie Lanier?

Darling had a nice connection going with Boller at the end of the season. He may surprise in KC.

Nobody on this team is surprising anyone until they get an off line.

 Sometimes guys just need to get on the field. He showed some flashes at the end of the season.

I hear ya, he'll get a chance to make the roster, he could surprise, but unlikely.

Well, they are drafting them early and often.

You must admit though, the Chiefs have a remarkably sucky history with respect to wide receivers.

Truth.

Gotta like Bowe so far though. Even with the questionable Croyle throwing to him, he looked pretty studly in his rookie year.

So do teams with horrible a horrible GM.

Yeah, Carl is gone after 2008, he's already said this will be his last year, so that won't be an excuse going forward. Either way, it could be worse.
