Guest Chappy
http://www.houstontexans.com/news/Story.asp?story_id=4247 Green Part Of Team's OTA's It's being reported that Texans RB Ahman Green has been participating in team drills. Green, who was hobbled by an injured knee for most of the 2007 season, is nothing more than an RB3 if he can nab the starting job. There is still a solid chance RB Chris Brown could either start or take a lot of carries away from Green this year. | April 07, 2008 4:49 PM ------------------------------------------------------------------- http://www.nj.com/columns/times/eckel/inde....xml&coll=5 Lito Still In Limbo With no one offering up a first-round draft pick that the Eagles would like in exchange for DB Lito Sheppard, Sheppard's trade status remains in limbo. A source close to the team says that the Eagles won't get a first-rounder since Raiders DB DeAngelo Hall was acquired for a second-rounder and a fifth-rounder. There is a chance that the Eagles could package Lito and their No. 19 pick to move up closer to the top-10, but nothing has been reported. No matter what happens to him, Sheppard isn't much of an IDP option this year. | April 07, 2008 4:38 PM ------------------------------------------------------------------ http://cbs.sportsline.com/nfl/story/10765720 Jags Re-Sign Garrard The Jaguars and QB David Garrard have agreed to a six-year contract extension, reportedly worth nearly $60 million, including $20 million guaranteed. With the run-first offense, Garrard may not find QB1 value this year. Although the signing of playmaking receivers like WR Jerry Porter could make Garrard a decent starter in the right situations. Garrard is very athletic and does not make many mistakes. | April 07, 2008 1:27 PM --------------------------------------------------------------------- http://www.jsonline.com/story/index.aspx?id=735720 Jones Hit Rookie Wall Packers HC Mike McCarthy said WR James Jones hit a rookie wall in 2007. After a promising beginning of the season, Jones caught just four receptions in the last four regular season games. While Jones shouldn't have any problems holding onto the #3 receiver spot on the offense, that doesn't translate into much fantasy value unless one of the starters misses time. | April 07, 2008 1:12 PM ---------------------------------------------------------------------- http://chicagosports.chicagotribune.com/sp...1,3486170.story Urlacher Not Reporting To OTA's? Bears LB Brian Urlacher will reportedly not show up for the team's offseason conditioning program. He also may skip the entire program, including OTAs. Urlacher, who has been in discussions with the team about a new contract, will train in Arizona instead. He is coming off neck surgery, but says he has been medically cleared. With LB Lance Briggs back in the fold, expect Urlacher to continue his LB1 status again this year. | April 07, 2008 3:35 PM -------------------------------------------------------------------- http://www.suntimes.com/sports/football/be...-bear07.article Briggs' Deal Just Two Years Despite agreeing to a six-year, $36 million contract, the Bears can opt out of LB Lance Briggs' deal after two years. Briggs will make $14.905 million over the next two years, but the Bears don't have to pay Briggs' $3.3 million roster bonus until June 10 in 2010. Owners don't have to worry about Briggs' IDP status going into 2008. He makes a great LB2. | April 07, 2008 3:13 PM --------------------------------------------------------------------- http://www.denverpost.com/ci_8833651?source=rss Marshall Has Cast Removed It's being reported that Broncos WR Brandon Marshall had the cast removed from his surgically repaired right forearm on Sunday. Marshall said the doctor told him his forearm looks good and that they have to wait for the artery to come around. Marshall won't be able to begin rehab until a month from now when he is out of his sling, but it's looking like he will be close to 100% by training camp. | April 07, 2008 2:58 PM -------------------------------------------------------------------- http://www.tampabay.com/sports/football/bu...ticle444861.ece Galloway May Avoid Contact Drills Buccaneers WR Joey Galloway, who is rehabbing from shoulder surgery, may be held out of some contact drills during training camp. One has to wonder when Galloway, who will turn 37 this season, will start to show his age and slowly decline. For some reason we see WR Antonio Bryant hurting Galloway's value more than his age. Regardless, Galloway should still be worthy of a WR3 spot. We would rank him as a WR2, but he has to start slowing down sometime right? This year may be the year. | April 07, 2008 1:00 PM ----------------------------------------------------------------------- http://www.charlotte.com/panthers/story/568727.html Panthers Waiting On Jarrett According to Panthers HC John Fox, the team is taking a "wait-and-see" approach with WR Dwayne Jarrett. Jarrett basically destroyed any chances of starting this year after being arrested for a DUI. The signing of WR D.J. Hackett didn't help things either. Don't expect much out of Jarrett this year. | April 07, 2008 12:45 PM ------------------------------------------------------------------------- http://www.gastongazette.com/sports/delhom...l/real_day.html Delhomme To Throw Real Football Rehabbing from Tommy John surgery, Panthers QB Jake Delhomme is expected to throw a real football on Monday. It will be the first time since his injury in Week 3 of 2007. So far Delhomme has just been playing around with a nerf football, so this is good progress. The Panthers are excited about his rehabilitation and they say there is no reason to believe he won't be ready by training camp. | April 07, 2008 10:30 AM --------------------------------------------------------------------------- http://www.jsonline.com/story/index.aspx?id=735720 McCarthy High On Jackson It's being reported that Packers HC Mike McCarthy is very "excited" with RB Brandon Jackson going into this season. There is a small chance that Jackson could win the primary backup job behind RB Ryan Grant, but his value is nothing more than a handcuff. | April 07, 2008 10:23 AM ------------------------------------------------------------------------- http://www.tampabay.com/sports/football/bu...ticle444861.ece Stovall Out Of The Mix? Because of recent elbow surgery, Buccaneers WR Maurice Stovall will not take part in any of the team's offseason activities. It's expected that Stovall will be ready by training camp, but will fall severely behind the other receivers competing for the starting spot opposite WR Joey Galloway. Don't count on Stovall having a better than average chance of being considered starting material this summer. | April 06, 2008 11:38 AM ------------------------------------------------------------------------- http://www.sacbee.com/static/weblogs/49ers...ves/011654.html Team Still Likes Lelie It's being reported that new 49ers OC Mike Martz likes WR Ashley Lelie. The Sacramento Bee makes this speculation based on the fact that the team kept Lelie and cut WR Darrell Jackson. It's going to take a lot of work before Lelie becomes a fantasy option to look at again. Don't bother with him yet. | April 06, 2008 11:33 AM

It keeps the board a lot more organized. Also, there is no way in hell that Chris Brown overtakes Ahman Green if Green is healthy. Green, while worn down is still far more capable and talented than Brown.

I like his chances in Houston - until they draft a first day runningback
BeeR
I think I'm about ready to give up on an old fav in Delhomme - seems he's becoming Chris Chandler-like.
