Zooty
They just published their top 100. Some stuff that looks pretty odd (bad) too me. Even thought they are early rankings, some just like totally out of line. I'm wondering if my thinking is wrong or their "experts" aren't really experts. 1-LT 2-AP 3- Brady 4- Westbrook 5- Addai 6- SJax 7- Lynch 8- Moss 9- TO 10- L Johnson 11- Gore 12- Peyton 13- Romo 14- Portis 15- Wayne 16- Braylon 17- R. Brown 18- McGahee 19- MBIII 20-Fitz 21- Colston 22- W. Parker 23- Grant 52- Graham 53-Lendale 54-R. Bush 69- Garrard 70- Bulger 71- Cutler 72- Eli 73- McNabb 74- Reggie Williams 75- K. Curtis 76- Julius Jones 77- Kevin Smith 78- J. Stewart (For Taz ) 79- Selvin 80- Forte and O. Daniels ahead of Shockey and Heap Interesting but not a ranking I would use. Hopefully guys in my local use it Edited June 30, 2008 by Zooty

Zooty
it wouldnt shock me to see that happen Me either since they can't stay healthy. I'll take Daniels as a value pick after those 2 are gone. It was one of the few things I agreed with but you know it won't happen in most leagues.
Bronco Billy
3- Brady You can kiss their credibility goodbye (and stop reading any further) right there.
Avernus
SJax isn't even in the top 5 here... I would love to see that on draft day..

tazinib1
8-9 years ago, TheSportingNews was a GREAT source for rankings and the like. They have fallen into the ESPN trap I'm afraid and are worth nothing more than throne material. Kevin Smith ahead of Stew? Thats almost laughable. MikesVikes
It doesn't look bad. Maybe Passing TDs are worth 12 points. You never know.
The Wolf
Thanks for this Zooty. As commish in my local I felt it was in the best interest for the competitiveness of the league to share this ranking with my fellow owners. No sense keeping this great stuff to myself...! piratesownninjas
SJax isn't even in the top 5 here... I would love to see that on draft day.. Absolutely... If I have the second pick, he'll be gone at 2.
Zooty
I was also surprised at how high Lynch, LJ and Ronnie Brown were while MBIII is very low for other people. I have heard him in discussions of the top 6. And R. Bush in the 50s behind Lendale is laughable even for a Bush hater like me.

tazinib1
What's great is no one knows for sure. I'm sorry I just couldn't contain the leash. What?????? Your kidding right? K.Smith over Stew? Seriously? Ok I have to admit, I have Russia and Florida backing me on this and to my knowledge, both have been upstanding in critical decisions. Not that it means squat when concerning my boy Stew..but I thought I'd throw it out there.

It reminds me of when the Huddle had an article last year "saying avoid Randy Moss like the plague." and I remember not to long ago about how JJ Arrington was going to be God. The hype machine on players get them the rankings. Sometimes the rankings are close, but no one knows for sure.
