Derek Anderson

It's starting to look like Anderson was a one year wonder. With Quinn looking good in any pre-season game I've seen him in and being a 1st round pick - when does CLE decide to pull the plug on Anderson and go with Quinn? I know Anderson has played some very good defenses this year but I'm not sure that excuse is enough to keep him as the starter?

Thoughts?

He wasn't even a one year wonder... He was 3/4 of the year wonder and over the final stretch of last year played like he is right now...

I don't think the problem is all Derek Anderson... They're not running the ball particularly well, and we all know of Braylon's dropping woes. Maybe Quinn could light the fire...

I don't see Quinn playing at all until after the bye week or even after the Monday Night Game. The Offensive woahs are not entirely Anderson's fault. The entire offense has looked horrid. No run game, dropped passes, zero seperation, ect. If a game is still not won after the Monday Night game and a full two weeks of practice after the bye week, then I believe the trigger should be pulled and see what Quinn has to offer...

I just can't imagine Quinn being able to provide anything more than Anderson...the entire offense as a whole, looks bad.

I live near Cleveland and watch all the games and reports. This isn't entirely Anderson's fault.

He has all the skills to be a very good nfl qb. Not to mention he's 6'6" with a great arm.

He had a terrible game, but so did the rest of the team.

I'm sorry, but Crennel is a joke in my opinion. This team looks lost and confused, and a rookie qb isn't gonna help any.

Lets not forget, Anderson is young also. I thought he showed last year what he can accomplish.

I just don't see how Quinn would change things.

Anderson took some big shots yesterday. Gotta put blame on others also.

BALTIMORE -- Derek Anderson acknowledged after Sunday's 28-10 loss to the Ravens that he's fighting for his starting job.

"I'm not going to say I'm not, because I'm not playing good," Anderson said. "I've just got to keep playing. I'll continue to work and I'll come through it and be fine, but I've got to continue to get better."

Coach Romeo Crennel made it clear Sunday that everyone's job is on the line after tumbling to 0-3.

"I told the guys we're going to look at everybody in every position and then we're going to do what we think is the best and try to improve this team," he said.

Even the quarterback?

"I said all positions," he said.

I agree with the others here that it is not all Anderson's fault but he's the easiest to single out (with Crennel being right up there).

There's a reason the backup QB is the most popular player on any team.

This team looks so disorganized, Crennel seems to be having issues coaching this year. And the offensive play calling is suspect too. Its not all DAs fault, its a collective bust so far with everyone on this team. But the QB is the easiest to blame when things start going wrong. IMO, the coaching is up there with all the other problems.
