loaf
Great Browns Pro Bowl defensive tackle Shaun Rogers is so disgruntled with new coach Eric Mangini and the new regime that he's asked the team not to pay his guaranteed $6 million option bonus next month, nfl.com's Adam Schefter reported Tuesday night. darin3
Denver's always shown a willingness to take a Browns defender, so why not this one No, they just take the crappy ones. So this wouldn't work.
budlitebrad
Rogers is reportedly miffed about two off-season incidents in which he feels Mangini snubbed him. The first time, Mangini walked into the Browns' training room and didn't say hello to Rogers, the source said. The second time, Mangini and Rogers were together in the media room at the Greater Cleveland Sports Awards on Jan. 23 and neither acknowledged the other. muck
And, relatedly, if you're the new boss, how do you not at least extend the common courtesy of saying "hi" to someone?
CaptainHook
And, relatedly, if you're the new boss, how do you not at least extend the common courtesy of saying "hi" to someone? perhaps he was scared that Rogers might sit on or eat him? Footballjoe
Rogers and Haynesworth. Maybe it has something to do with being excessively large.
loaf
the most logical line is that there's something going on we don't know about. there's no way you get that miffed over to missed hellos.
Randall
And, relatedly, if you're the new boss, how do you not at least extend the common courtesy of saying "hi" to someone? If it were me I'd give up $6 million, sell my house and want to leave town too if the coach didn't say "hi". Obviously Loaf is right something weird is going on here. kpholmes
the most logical line is that there's something going on we don't know about. there's no way you get that miffed over to missed hellos. Updating a previous report, Mary Kay Cabot, of the Cleveland Plain Dealer, reports Cleveland Browns DT Shaun Rogers has asked for his release because he was snubbed by new head coach Eric Mangini on two occasions. Another reason is the team told him not to show up for the their offseason program unless he was at a prescribed weight. Rogers was upset at the directive because he was able to maintain his required weight during the entire season in 2008. Bingo.
budlitebrad
An overly sensitive star player and a new coach with no people skills. This will end well.

If he was to be cut, I pray that Ted would pay this guy whatever it takes.
