Shorttynaz
"Pittsburgh Steelers defensive backs coach Ray Horton arrived in Arizona Wednesday for an interview and a few hours later was hired to replace the fired Bill Davis. Horton, 50, served on the Steelers’ staff with Whisenhunt for three seasons, and long worked under LeBeau – when LeBeau was coaching the Bengals, as well as in Pittsburgh – learning the style of defense Whisenhunt wants in Arizona. An introductory press conference is scheduled for 4 p.m. Arizona time" per AZCardinals.com Link Edited February 9, 2011 by Shorttynaz

piratesownninjas
sean payton ... the dooche in Miami (Sporano, I know). the DC that went to UCONN... just a few that come to mind. From 1997 to 1998, Sean Payton was quarterbacks coach for the Philadelphia Eagles In 1999 Sean Payton was hired as the quarterback coach for the New York Giants and was promoted to the role of offensive coordinator in 2000. Under his guidance the Giants would go on to represent the NFC in Super Bowl XXXV.[11] During this time he was known to lock himself in the stadium and sleep on the couches while studying plays on off-days. Payton joined Bill Parcells and the Cowboys as assistant head coach and quarterbacks coach in 2003, where he helped coach Quincy Carter, Vinny Testaverde, and Drew Bledsoe to 3,000-yard seasons. In 2005, he was promoted by Parcells to assistant head coach/passing game coordinator. What were you saying>?

Scooby's Hubby
that's just it, haters. when your team is hot you lose coaches. I could sit here and name all the assistants gone from just the Jimmy Johnson days, when the Boys were hot. It should be no suprise that Pittsburgh is losing coaches, because they are having such consistent success this decade, especially to AZ and the Wiz. So my point is get used to it. That is what I am saying, Ninjas. I thought of all people you would understand that but as usuall, all you wanna do is hate and act like a know-it-all. And, if you think that the Saints were gonna hire Sean while he was a QB coach, think again, cuz it didn't happen. Just like the Saints got him from Dallas, Jerry got him from the NYG's. So, that just furthers my point that these coaches are all gonna swap around and leave the good teams while they are hot. And anyone arguing that thiis has not happened to Dallas every decade is foolin'. Just the Jimmie Johnson years alone are proof enough. Again, my point is my first post in this thread and it is quite obvious, "get used to it, it happens to Dallas every year." Is that in plain text for you, Ninjas? and there is no need to start hating on me and acting like a know-it-all, ok? Scooby's Hubby
Uhhhhhh..i'd LOVE to forget. You can have him back ya know. and Taz, you got him b/c we don't want him. Why would we want any washed up sludge from San Diego? That would be like the guy in the commercial who wins at an auction and then puts the same item right back up for auction. Scooby's Hubby
you named 2 from 4 yrs ago and 1 that went to a college, sounds like a real hotbed. compared to what as been hired from the Saints organization from the first year of it's beginning to 2000, Dallas would be more than a hotbed. Serious question, and I wouldn't really waste the time looking this up but I figure one of you know-it-alls would know, but, what assistants from New Orleans have ever gone to another team as a head coach? Comperable to say, just off the top of my head, Norv Turner, Butch Davis, Dave Wannestadt, just to name some from the Jimmy Johnson days, and/or also like Sean Peyton who has been an assitant for many teams ... Seriously, who from the Saints as an assistant became a head coach somewhere else, College or Pro? The vasty majority of coaches bounced around from team to team to team before getting a HC gig. The only NFC East team he wasn't a part of was Washington. Philly and New York can lay claim to him just as much as a cowboy fan. Now get back to telling me how kickass you were in college.
